Description
We are in the Venetian port of the prefecture of Chania in Crete.

At the first shot, we see the Egyptian Lighthouse, which is the city’s most photographed monument. It was originally built by the Venetians, but it retains the name of the Egyptians, who rebuilt it in the early 19th century, when they were rulers of Crete.

A fishing boat enters the harbor, while two men who sit on the concrete bars get up and leave.

The lens follows the boat and in a panoramic shot, we can see part of the urban construction around the port, moored boats but also surviving buildings from the era of the Venetian and Ottoman rule on the island.
