Description
We are in Zarouchla, a mountainous village in the prefecture of Achaia. It is built at an altitude of 1,020 meters on the southeastern slopes of the Helmos Mountains (also known as the Aroania Mountains) near the border with the Prefecture of Corinth and is one of the most popular mountainous settlements in Achaia, Greece.

The film opens with shots from a village’s street as we see the houses around. A woman comes out of one of the houses and comes towards the filmmaker smiling. The camera focuses on the falling snow and a person greets the lens. A chimney smokes as the snow becomes thicker. A group of people cross a small bridge in a happy mood, greeting the lens as the plants and trees around have started to be covered by the snow.

We see a creek, a part of the stream of Ag. Nikolaos, that together with the other streams of the area (Rizanorema, Kryoneri) flow into the river Krathis, with a dense forest around and we get back to the company that begins its hiking on the trail. The snow keeps falling and the village can be seen in the background vaguely as the group of friends keep on their exploration.

The lens shows us houses of the village with some of them being tower-houses and stands on the Tower of Agia Triada Zarouchlas which is located just outside the village. The company explores the place and has fun. One of the group talks to a smiling old woman while holding a bag-probably with supplies-and the group continues the tour in the forest which, as we see, is full of firs and black pines.

The film closes with the shot on the village road that we saw on the foreground and the woman heading to her house.
