Description
The filmmaker is on his way to the ancient city of Gortyna in the Prefecture of Heraklion in Crete.

The film begins with a road sign pointing in the direction of Ampelouzo, Moroni and Zaro villages.

Then we are at the neoclassical building that now houses the Agricultural School of Messara. We watch the lush garden and a man walking.

Immediately after we reach the ancient city of Gortyna, with the ruins of the Basilica of St. Titus in the foreground.
The following are shots of the Odeion with the monumental Inscription of Gortyna that records the laws of the city and dates from the beginning of the 5th century BC.

We watch the details of the inscription, while the guard of the site explains to a woman who is trying to read it.
The film closes with another shot of St. Titus.
