Description
Stagira is a village which is located at the foot of Mount Stratonikos, on the northeastern side of Chalkidiki, in Greece. They got their name from the ancient city of Stagira (or Stageira), which is located on a coast 10 km east.

The filmmaker walks in the village’s streets and gives us shots of the church of the Birth of Mother of God and some of the houses of traditional Macedonian architecture. Then we watch the father of the filmmaker as he chats with two local men.

Afterwards, we are in front of the statue of the great Greek philosopher Aristotle, who was born in Ancient Stagira, on the marble base is written "Aristotle the Stagirite" and we have shots of the imposing statue from many angles.

Behind the statue we can see the ruins of an Ottoman Tower. A man and a woman from the filmmaker's family look at the statue, but also the wonderful location that was chosen to house the work of the sculptor Nikolas, while joking with each other, just before they depart.
