Description
Coffee at "Zonar's", on Panepistimiou Street with Iliou Melathron (Palace of Ilion) in the background where the Numismatic Museum of Athens is housed. The lens captures the traffic jam on the streets and the passers-by walk in front of the lens without turning their head to look at it. The vehicles are leaving Vasilissis Sofias Avenue and turn going down the Panepistimiou Street, behind the Parliament building which was built by the architect F. Gärtner and housed the royal family until 1924.

Afterwards, we see the monument of the Unknown Soldier in front of the Parliament building. The lens captures a toddler who feeds the pigeons and behind him we see the Evzonoi soldiers who are members of the chosen Presidential (then Royal) Guard, standing motionless and silent honoring the memory of the fallen. The lens stands on the empty tomb and gives us a close-up view of the dead warrior who looks like is ready to rise, a piece of art made by the sculptor Fokion Rok .

We see in front of the Parliament the Vasilissis Amalias Avenue and below the Syntagma Square. The cinematographer gives us views of the traffic on the streets and the buildings that embrace the square.

The film closes with passers-by and vehicles moving towards Filellinon Street.
