Description
Durness is a village in the county of Sutherland, in the northwestern Highlands of Scotland.

The Kyle of Durness is a virgin coastline and is the entrance to the north coast of Scotland towards Sutherland.

In the background we see a boat with its boatman approaching the coast, where tourists wait to be carried to the opposite bank.
The film closes with the boatman picking up the boat rope and a white dog accompanying him.

Where are we coming to now? Well, we have crossed the treacherous Kyle of Durness, thanks to the skill of the ancient ferryman, and we’re on our way to Cape Wrath, the most northwesterly point of the Scottish mainland.
