Description
Footage from the first anniversary of the Polytechnic uprising (1973), against the Regime of the Colonels (Greek junta) who had seized power with a coup d'état .

Countless crowds lined up in front of the Polytechneio University, lay wreaths, bouquets of flowers and notes in honor of those who fell.

A banner that says "November's struggle for Democratic sovereignty, national independence, against fascism and imperialism continues" dominates the main door of the building complex.

We see a placard with the quote-lyrics of an unknown artist, "You sleep in the womb of the storm and we sleep awake to die every day alive”.
