Description
We are on an overseas voyage on the tanker "Princess Sophie”.

The film opens with a small boy running on the ship's deck. The filmmaker shows us a general shot of the deck as well as the bridge of the ship. He gets back to the little boy who smiles at him as views of the bow follow.

The film closes with the little boy playing with the camera.

The tanker "Princess Sophie" was built for the World Brilliant Corporation in 1959 under the Greek flag. The ship was christened by Queen Frederica of Greece in a special ceremony at the shipyards in Massachusetts, USA. The name was given by Princess Sofia, later Queen of Spain. It was up to that time the largest merchant ship ever built in the United States, with a length of 262m (859 ft) and with a loaded displacement of 91,350 tons.
