Description
We are in Vryses, a traditional rural village in the southern part of the Apokoronas peninsula of Chania, at the foot of the White Mountains, Crete.

The film opens with a panoramic shot of the village. We see two old men sitting in a traditional cafe, people who come and go, cars and a bus of that era. Afterwards, the lens stands on the monument of the Cretan Revolution of 1895-1898 and then we watch shots from a cafe with a group of people talking and the bridge with people crossing it.

The filmmaker focuses on a group of women with one of them holding a child, while behind them we can see a sign that says “Rooms for rent” and then a woman who spreads “sariki” (traditional Cretan headscarfs). An elderly man eats lunch in a tavern with a young man and we get back to the square with the monument, the locals doing their daily chores and the tourists taking a walk.

The camera focuses on a shop that, as it writes, is a "Souvlaki Tavern", which is crowded and we follow for a while an elderly man who walks out holding food in his hand.

The film closes with one more panoramic view of the square and a woman laying a flower at the monument.
