Description
The film begins with far away shots of Piraeus, as the ship has sailed to the port of Mytilene, on the island of Lesvos, in Greece.

The film opens with shots from the sea’s turbulent waters that are left behind by the ship on which the filmmaker is. We see from afar views of Piraeus, Phaleron and the coast of Attica.

We continue with shots from the sea and the sun that is being reflected on it and then the foaming water as the ship sails. The camera shows us the deck of the ship with a woman and two small children and sailors raising the ship’s flag.

The ship approaches on the island blowing the whistle and we see the whole coastline with a panoramic view. As the boat arrives at the port, the camera shows the jetty and the lighthouse as we can see behind the lighthouse, the-then-swimming pool that was housed in a large round white building. Entering the port, we see a part of the city’s building structure as well as the people who wait there.

A view from the boat and the anchor winch, as the lens gives us a panoramic view of the waterfront. We stand out the marina, Sappho Square, the buildings of the city, the majestic baroque dome of the church of Saint Therapon which dominates the port but also boats and ships that are moored. We get back to the ship and the anchor winch operating, and afterwards, a shot of a ship which loads with cars and buses of that era.

The film closes with a shot of the island’s coastal road where the filmmaker is.
