Description
We are in the village of Exo Potamoi in the prefecture of Lassithi, in Crete, at an altitude of 846 meters above sea level.

In the first shots, the filmmaker and his family have stopped on the way to the Exo Potamoi and are enjoying the landscape.

Next we reach the village and we see a tied donkey. The filmmaker's company who climb the stairs to the center of the verdant village, a woman who holds water tanks in order to fill them from a public fountain and a little girl next to her who holds the donkey’s rope.

On the wall, above the fountain, a poster informs the locals about the upcoming "Song Festival of Agios Nikolaos, Lassithi, Crete - National Stadium September 2".

We see an engraved inscription on the top of the stone wall of the fountain that says "October First 1892", a date that refers to the struggles of the Cretans for liberation from the Turkish rule and Crete's union with the rest of Greece.

A panoramic view of the houses of the picturesque village follows, a chicken walks around, a group of friends are outside the Cafe “Oi Exo Potamoi” owned by Mich. G. Atsalaki. The woman at the fountain fills the tanks, the little girl gives the small plate from the treats to another woman, the members of the filmmaker's company laugh happily.
