Description
Trikala is a city in northwestern Thessaly, Greece, and the capital of the Trikala regional unit.

We are in the center of the city crossed by the Lithaios river, a woman and two little boys are standing in front of jets of water that are poured into the river, which flows on the various levels that have been built for its calm flow. We are in the central square of King Paul (today Iroon Polytechniou square) of Trikala, which is very well taken care of with blooming rose trees and is connected by bridges with Riga Ferraiou Square.

The main bridge, an architecture’s gem which is arched and metal, was built in France in 1886 by French engineers and is the main connecting point of the city with the lush green vegetation. We see passers-by, visitors, children who play while they approach the fountain with the steady pre-war vases.

Afterwards, we are located at the Fortress, which was built by Justinian during the 6th century and today is used as a recreation area, since it houses the open-air municipal theater but also the homonymous cafe-bar-restaurant “Fortress".

The children play by the river while the filmmaker gives us a shot that reveals the city’s rich flora but also the Clock Tower of the Fortress.
