Description
We are in Vytina, a mountain village in the Peloponnese, in the Prefecture of Arcadia, in Greece.

It is March 25, the date on which the Greeks celebrate the Greek Revolution of 1821 against Ottoman rule, with various events and parades. In a central part of the village, students gather in their school uniforms, others in traditional costumes, as well as scouts and local clubs.

The parade begins, next to the students the teachers, children with drums give the rhythm, a police officer coordinates, the small town is decorated with flags.

Then, we are in the Vytina square, where the events continue with traditional folk dances, parents and locals watch as they sit in the surrounding cafes while the Mount Mainalo is visible in the background.

As the dances continue in the square we can see parts of the Church of Saint Tryphon, patron and protector of Vytina.
